Why I Love This Pattern: The Desert Leathers scarf captures the vast dunes, where the sky meets the sand and we can almost smell the sun-scorched leather. At its center, we see a Tuareg rider surrounded by satchels, bags, and wallets— all items brought on his journey. This design honors the intricate craftsmanship of the Sahara’s artisans, from the Berbers of Hoggar to the nomads of Gao, who cut, dye, and emboss goat and camel leather. A tribute to tradition, this scarf honors two signature Hermès materials: leather and silk.
